Tips on how to save in Pet Care for your pet

Tips for savings when buying pet supplies:

1) PET FOOD: Once your pet does well with a certain pet food, try to buy it in bigger sizes so it'll last longer

Research pet websites and compare prices

If on that particular site you can find other items you need regularly such as wormers, flea treatment, dog toys, why not to buy a few of what you need and make it a bigger order to avoid shipping costs?

2) TOYS: Invest in harder toys that will last. I do recommend the 'Kong' line of products and their environment enrichment options that will keep your dog amused, some are food dispensing - so your puppy will learn to chew and eat from these toys instead of their food bowl and chew the rubber toys and not unwanted items around the house

3) DOG BEDS: For puppies - get a hardy bed 1st. We all want to give beautiful things for your pups but when they are young, that fluffy gorgeous bed may be a chewy tentation with all that fluff and your puppy may want to wee in it.

4) PET HEALTH: Invest in pet insurance if you can afford, especially if your pet has ongoing health conditions. It'll save you heaps in the long run at the Vet.

Compare pet insurance plans and see which one has the most benefits to you.

5) VET VISITS: Don't postpone regular check ups or vaccinations. They are essential for your pet. And if any major procedure is needed please discuss with your Vet the possibilities of a payment plan. There are some options out there such as Vet Pay

to be considered. If your dog is displaying discomfort or pain don't delay in getting help. Things can get worse very quickly, cost more if the condition gets serious and in some cases it may even cost your pet's life.

6) PUPPY SCHOOL & DOG SCHOOL: A puppy/ dog should be for life.

So investing in its education is the most important thing you can do in your puppy/ dog's life. Getting its education and the pet guardian guidance you need for both to be successful together in your journey. Many young dogs get surrendered to animal shelters because their owners didn't give them the ideal start in life and they become too hard to manage. Puppy School & Dog School / training shouldn't be seen as a heavy cost in a dog's life but an investment in its future.

7) ENVIRONMENT: If your puppy/ dog is kept indoors and it is destructive, it may be due to boredom, lack of stimulation or some level of distress. Consider your dog's needs and provide them with mental stimulation, exercise, shelter, manage the environment so there aren't things to be chewed up - if they are puppies- limiting their access to all house when they are really young, providing them with suitable and safe chewy toys, giving them a safe space where they can thrive and do well. And if any signs of emotional distress or separation anxiety - look for the help of a force free qualified dog trainer for guidance as the dog trainer can do a private home visit and guide you on some strategies and exercises to do. Because when separation anxiety gets severe a behavioral veterinary specialist may need to be involved.

And we can help you here with our various puppy school & dog training programs, courses, private dog training & behavioral modification.

Prices are very good for all pockets. And we offer ongoing support and packages of few dog training visits so we can work together through a period of time for successful outcomes.
